I did install a new Windows 8 System on my notebook. After that I installed the Japanese language package. In the language bar on the taskbar I could then switch from German to Japanese as in my old Windows 7. Then I installed over 20 updates for my Windows 8.
After that the language bar on the taskbar disappeared. Instead it now shows on the lock screen where it doesn't any good. Now I cannot anymore switch to the japanese language input.

I hadn't tried to uninstall Japanese language as I was too scared to try and also was not sure whether I can really uninstall it as my laptop was bought in Japan and Japanese is the language that had already been installed.
I had installed Swedish, and by pressing 'Alt' and 'Shift' keys, I can change to Swedish, but this does not work for Japanese. I am not sure whether this is relevant, but let me add. Thanks to it we can change from one to another with a click, adjusting our OS to the needs of each moment. What happens is that this icon is not hidden automatically after deleting a language.
And if we have installed a Windows that was originally, for example, in English something that happens often in OEM computers , then we will always have this icon here.
Moreover, although it appears next to the clock, it is not like the other icons, so we will not be able to move it to hide it. If we right-click on it we can see the context menu of the taskbar, but nothing on this icon, so we can not hide it like that. If we want the ESP icon to stop appearing next to the clock, we have to follow the following steps.
If this indicator has not appeared before, we have nothing to worry about. However, it could appear at any time due to a change in Windows settings. And if it does, we are surely wondering how to disable it. To hide this language indicator, we must go to the Windows 10 Settings menu. Specifically to the Personalization section. We will see a fairly extensive list of options related to the customization of this element. Here we can see a list of all the Windows icons that appear on the desktop taskbar.
Specifically next to the clock.
