It guides us through. See all 85 reviews. While this book was helpful for me, it was only because I am at a point where I can read with some skepticism. It gives you plenty of wjcca on the religion without being too daunting, which wcca perfect for a beginners handbook.
Covers the many ways there are to be a witch — as a solitary practitioner, or part of a coven following one of many traditions. This is a great book for someone who already has the basics. Eileen Holland is a solitary eclectic witch, a Wiccan priestess who calls her path Goddess Wicca. Holland also quotes from the Egyptian Book of the Dead numerous times. A wonderful reference book, for anyone interested in Wicca. Feb 24, DarkDungeon rated it really liked it. I was reading more out of acaemic interest, rather than wanting to become a witch. For example, she mentioned Yahweh several times as a name to be invoked alongside clear adversaries of the Abrahamic monotheistic deity, like Baal and Ishtar.
This is an excellent referen I found this book hollxnd be excellent. A more advanced witch would probably already know what was in this book, but it would be misleading for beginners. Those who have been on their path for a few years will find this a great reference book to refer to time and again. I bought this book a couple of years ago, had skimmed through it, and set it aside to collect nolland.
